The Pirate’s Fate is an anthropomorphic pirate-themed visual novel.
In The Pirate’s Fate, Mila wakes up among the Dread Pirates, a group of treasure hunters seeking a magically enchanted set of coins that have the ability to transform whomever holds them to “become what they seek,” and allegedly the whole world if entirely collected.
You’ll navigate stormy seas, ancient temples, and monstrous coves in search of loot. And be warned: you aren’t the only pirates seeking this treasure!
The choices you make will transform the protagonist, other characters, and the story itself. The game keeps track of what you’ve done, and different plot elements and romances will open or close accordingly. Story paths branch into entirely different plotlines that are designed to encourage multiple playthroughs, complete with secret endings and other significant opportunities. What will be your fate?
It’s not as simple as choosing good or evil. Each choice you make will rest on different conflicting values such as loyalty versus individualism, absolutism versus pragmatism, and more.
Additionally each of your crewmates have their own moral compass, separate and distinct from your own. You can’t decide you’re going to “go evil” to get in the good graces of a particular character, such as Morgana. Her view of morality is different than Mila’s. You’ll have to understand her perspective to impress her.
The Pirate’s Fate features a wide variety of transformations, many of which showcase non-traditional body types and presentations. Characters can change in age, gender, personality, and species, and even rewrite their own past and reality.
In many games, romances are a linear series of conversations, with one “correct” route and no real replayability. In The Pirate’s Fate, there are many paths to falling in love, including multiple ways of romancing the same character. The relationships change based on the branching circumstances of the story, the moral choices you make, and the types of magical transformations you encounter.
There are over 40 romance paths, featuring a variety of relationships, including non-traditional body types and romances across the LGBTQ spectrum.
