The Lovebirds is a meta-horror visual novel that messes with your brain and your PC. The story can go hundreds of different ways and there are many different endings.
Recently I was thinking about learning VR and MR development and about how fascinating all the new technology is, but the problem is that most people can't afford all the accessories. I wanted to make an immersive experience for everybody who has a PC and I began thinking about different ways to do it.
Then I came up with The Lovebirds, an atmospheric horror experience that includes you, sitting in front of your screen, as one of the characters. The game comes to life through different ways, like breaking the fourth wall by intentionally glitching the game, opening your disc tray, starting the webcam and doing other crazy things (that are still completely harmless to your PC, of course). The game works even if you don't have accessories like a webcam. The game's all about its main character, James, exploring deep existential questions...
