History
Order of the Gatekeepers is a passion project by Jordan Robinson made after realizing the kind of Tower Defense game he wanted to play hadn’t been made by anyone yet. Development started in January of 2016 and has been a near full time project since for the solo developer. Made in Unity, Jordan wanted to choose an engine with the fastest possible workflow to make up for the limitations of a one-man development team. Tim Rurkowski, the composer for 10 Second Ninja, was chosen for the music as they had worked together on a previous project.
Jordan has been dabbling in game design since he was 9 years old, originally creating mods for Flash and Source engine games he has learned every aspect of game design. In his teen years, Valve added two weapons of his to the game Team Fortress 2, The Jag wrench for the Engineer as well as The Detonator sidearm for the Pyro. Since then Jordan has made it his goal to release a fully featured game that he himself can play for hundreds of hours without it getting stale and from that was born the idea for Order of the Gatekeepers.
